The EM 70 is a combined TENS/EMS device, and there can certainly be a connection between pain relief and muscle stimulation, as it can often be an advantage to be able to treat an area in more than one way. The EM 70 works with the body's own pain-relieving systems – and enhances them. This way, you achieve effective and, not least, drug-free pain-relieving treatment.
With the TENS programs, you get pain-relieving therapy where the nerve endings in the skin are stimulated. The small impulses cause the brain to block the pain. With EMS, you get electrical muscle stimulation, which is used both to increase blood flow and for muscle rehabilitation, e.g., in case of injuries.
4 self-adhesive gel electrodes are included:

You can use either the large or medium electrode and place the unit directly on the treatment area, or you can expand the treatment with the two small electrodes. The EM 70 has 19 pre-programmed treatment programs, and it's easy to switch between programs or adjust the intensity via the remote control.
The TENS/EMS unit also has a countdown timer – and it automatically switches off when not in use.
The EM 70 can be used with the free app "beurer PainAway". In the app, you can, among other things, get help with where to attach the electrodes and be guided on which treatment method would best suit your needs.
