Parkinson's

Parkinson

Paralysis agitans, better known as Parkinson's, is a degenerative disease that affects the central nervous system. Most commonly, it affects people over 40 years of age, but it can occur in younger individuals. Parkinson's starts slowly and worsens over the years. Tremors usually begin at the end of an arm and spread to the leg on the same side, then to the other arm and later leg. Typically, it's worse when the person is relaxed and lessens with activity, becomes worse when the person is emotionally activated, and disappears completely during sleep. The person often has a stooped back. The person may have difficulty initiating walking and later take small, quick steps, with problems stopping or turning. Writing is difficult, starting large and then becoming smaller and smaller. In severe cases, speech can be slow, and swallowing problems may occur. There are various treatment suggestions, both my own and from Chinese doctors.

1. Renying (ST 9) Neck-Futu (LI 1 Hegu (LI 4) Taichong (LR 3) Yinlingquan (SP 9)

15-20 minutes of stimulation 2-3 times. Scalp acupuncture is recommended for motor and chorea-tremor control areas.

Another treatment is Auricular therapy - Use Oprin, e1,2,3. Jaw, neck, and first rib.

Light therapy frequency c. Promotes dopamine (proven in animal studies).

Another treatment involves the anti-smoking treatments that exist; those that work often promote dopamine in the body.

Parkinson's is very difficult to treat; these are just suggestions, hopefully they help.
