The "Robert" dictionary defines decency as a feeling of discomfort experienced by a tactful person towards a situation, which is in conflict with his or her understanding of dignity. The "Larousse" dictionary describes it as "a discretion or self-control to say or to do something, which might offend the decency, courtesy or discretion."
